Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect the Suncoast on Monday, with precipitation chances near 50 percent along the coast and 60 percent in southern areas. Although a few storms may produce heavy downpours, meteorologists do not expect widespread severe weather. Afternoon temperatures will rise to the mid-80s, accompanied by breezy easterly winds.

Conditions will begin to improve on Tuesday as winds ease. Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms remain possible, but the overall outlook brightens. Highs will stay in the mid-80s, while overnight temperatures will settle near 70 degrees.

A weak cold front is expected to move through the region on Friday, bringing a return to sunshine and fewer showers. This front will carry little rainfall but will introduce drier air behind it. This shift will lower humidity and slightly reduce temperatures.

The weekend will feature more comfortable conditions. Morning temperatures in some inland communities will drop to the upper 50s and lower 60s. Coastal areas will remain slightly warmer, with mild afternoon temperatures.

Boaters should expect unsettled conditions through Tuesday morning due to gusty easterly winds and storms over the Gulf. Weather will become more favorable for boating by Wednesday as winds weaken and remain so for the rest of the week.

No tropical system poses a threat to the area for the next five days, though Atlantic hurricane season lasts until November 30. One area of interest east of the Bahamas has a 30 percent chance of development as it moves into open waters. A weather system from the Midwest will help push the cold front across the Southeast later in the week.
