No. 12 Ohio State will host No. 23 Oregon on Saturday, November 7, at 3:30 p.m. ET in Columbus. The Big Ten matchup airs on CBS and Paramount+ at Ohio Stadium. Both teams enter the game without their starting quarterbacks due to injuries.
Ohio State holds a 6-2 record and a 4-1 conference mark. The Buckeyes lost their previous game to unranked USC, 30-18, ending a five-game winning streak. Oregon sits at 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten. The Ducks defeated then-No. 20 Northwestern 34-26 in Week 9.
Julian Sayin will not play for Ohio State because of an arm injury. Oregon is missing Dante Moore, who is sidelined with a concussion. Both programs will rely on their backup quarterbacks to lead their offenses.
Oregon substitute Dylan Raiola threw for 336 yards and three touchdowns in his last appearance. Ohio State true freshman Luke Fahey recorded 260 passing yards, one touchdown, and no turnovers during the loss at USC. Projections indicate the two backups could combine for more than 500 passing yards in the contest.
The last four meetings between these teams have produced more than 60 combined points. Ohio State leads the all-time series 3-2. The total points line has been exceeded in all four of Ohio State's home games this season and in two of Oregon's three road contests.
Betting markets list Ohio State as 7.5-point favorites. The over/under for total points is 45.5. SportsLine, which uses a model that simulates games 10,000 times, predicts the over will hit in 56% of scenarios. The model notes the over has gone 5-1 in Oregon's last six games as an underdog.
The SportsLine projection suggests one side of the spread will cover in more than 60% of simulated scenarios. The model entered Week 10 with a season record of 80-77 on top-rated college football picks.
