Alain Guevara Hernández estimates that armed men stole approximately $900,000 in jewelry from his northwest Miami-Dade home during a robbery that began around 10:30 p.m. on November 2.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office confirmed dispatching units to the residence on 177th Street following a report of a home invasion. Officers found an adult male with injuries and two adult women inside. Fire department personnel transported the man to a hospital in stable condition. The women were not injured.

Guevara stated that a man who had previously purchased jewelry from him arrived claiming interest in a Cartier watch. Guevara said the visitor produced a pistol and pointed it at him. As Guevara attempted to exit the house, he said four other men emerged from hiding near the entrance. They pushed him to the ground and struck him repeatedly.

"When he is inside, he takes out a pistol and here he points it at me," Guevara said. "I go back and when I go out the door, there were four more with him."

Security footage obtained by Telemundo 51 shows at least four individuals entering the home. One hooded figure carries a long gun and aims toward two women. Guevara said the attackers threatened his wife and 21-year-old stepdaughter. The video shows the women with their hands raised while one man points a weapon at them.

Guevara said one attacker fired a shot near his foot but did not specify whether a bullet hit him. He showed facial and head wounds that required surgical stitches. He stated that he told the attackers, "I am dying, I am dying," because of the number of blows to his head, eyes, and feet.

The suspect allegedly carried away roughly 60 watches, 50 to 70 chains, bracelets, jewelry cases, and safe deposit boxes. Guevara noted that he often sold items from his home to known clients, sometimes during late-night hours. He said he grew comfortable with this routine over time.

Guevara provided investigators with earlier recordings showing the suspect without a mask. The MDSO Theft Unit is leading the investigation. Authorities have not publicly confirmed the value of the stolen goods or announced any arrests.
