A $50 price reduction on the Acer Predator XB27OU gaming monitor has landed at Best Buy, bringing the cost of the 27-inch QD-OLED display down to $329.99 as of October 23, 2026. The discount targets gamers considering an upgrade from IPS panels to OLED technology, offering a lower entry point for the switch.
The monitor utilizes a 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel with a maximum resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, a standard known as QHD or 2K. This resolution is designed to pair well with mid-range gaming hardware, ensuring that graphics cards can maintain consistent frame rates without excessive strain.
Performance specifications include a 240Hz refresh rate and a gray-to-gray response time of 0.03 milliseconds. The OLED technology enables this rapid pixel transition, which reduces motion blur and eliminates the ghosting artifacts common on slower displays. The screen also supports AMD FreeSync Premium, a feature that synchronizes the refresh rate with the frame rate of the game to prevent tearing.
Color reproduction is a key feature of the QD-OLED panel. The XB27OU covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and maintains a Delta E accuracy below 2. It supports HDR10, a 10-bit color standard that enhances contrast, depth, and brightness relative to standard dynamic range. The panel is known for producing deep blacks and high contrast ratios.
Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port. These inputs allow users to connect a gaming PC and multiple game consoles to the same screen simultaneously. The monitor is currently available at Best Buy for $329.99.
Tom's Hardware describes the discount as an opportunity to integrate current display technology into a gaming setup at a reduced cost. The price cut makes the 240Hz QD-OLED panel more accessible for consumers looking to upgrade their visual experience without a premium price tag.
