Pflugerville is starting construction on Immanuel Road this month.

City officials plan to widen the road from two lanes to three between Pecan Street and Killingsworth Lane. Work is scheduled to begin in November. The project includes new curbs, gutters, and street lighting. Crews will also install underground storm infrastructure and shared-use paths.

Meanwhile, work is underway at the intersection of FM 685 and Kelly Lane in Pflugerville. The city approved a contract with Joe Bland Construction on August 11. Construction started on October 26. The project adds dedicated left-turn and U-turn lanes. Both frontage roads will end with two straight lanes, two left-turn lanes, and one right-turn lane.

Another active project involves the Historic Colored Addition. Workers are fully reconstructing the roads in that neighborhood. The new streets will feature curbs, gutters, underwater storm drains, and sidewalks.

On the East Pflugerville Parkway widening, crews are expanding the road to four lanes from Colorado Sand Drive to Weiss Lane. The Lake Pflugerville Trail is closed on its southwest side from October 19 through January. This closure allows for trail improvements and road work.

In Hutto, the Economic Development Corporation approved an additional $617,000 for materials. This funding supports the intersection improvements at CR 137 and FM 1660. The project involves building additional lanes and a roundabout. The extra money covers materials needed after recent redesign efforts.

Design work for the SH 130 frontage road connections was largely completed in late summer. The project will build northbound and southbound frontage roads from north of Limmer Loop to south of CR 118.
