The retailer is stacking an extra 20% discount onto already reduced inventory across all categories before the holiday rush.

Customers at Nordstrom are currently seeing discounts of up to 60% on designer items, a sharp drop in price that the retailer launched without much prior warning. The clearance event began this week and will run through 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Monday, Nov. 2.
The promotion is a seven-day window that adds a 20% markdown to thousands of products that were already on sale. This stacking of discounts applies to every department in the store, including fashion, accessories, beauty, homeware, and children's items. The resulting prices bring down the cost of high-end goods, with 40%, 50%, and 60% cuts on specific categories like footwear, jewelry, and handbags.
The sale covers a wide range of premium brands. Shoppers can find reduced prices on Tory Burch shoes, Zoë Chicco jewelry, and luxury eyewear from Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, and Prada. Leather handbags and fine cosmetics are also included in the price cuts. The retailer noted that inventory is selling quickly, urging customers to purchase items they want before they disappear.
Nordstrom's fall clearance follows its standard seasonal pricing structure but arrives with a compressed timeline. The event is live on the company's website and in physical locations nationwide. The 20% additional discount is applied to items already marked down, meaning the final price depends on the original retail value and the initial reduction applied to that specific product.
The sale includes categories typically reserved for holiday shopping, such as gift sets and toys. This timing allows consumers to buy seasonal items before the peak demand of the winter holidays. The retailer has not announced a specific end date for the additional discount beyond the Nov. 2 deadline. All items are available online at Nordstrom.com and in stores until the cutoff time.
