Netflix will hold screenings and panel discussions for nine television series in Hollywood this November. The events are scheduled for the first two weekends of the month at the streamer's Tudum Theater. This marks the fourth year the company has organized its fall awards showcase, a strategy designed to position its TV catalog for industry recognition alongside film contenders.
The lineup includes both new limited series and returning hits. 'The Diplomat,' 'Beef,' 'The Gentlemen,' and 'Emily in Paris' are among the titles selected for the campaign. The streamer also chose 'East of Eden,' 'Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story,' 'The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey,' 'The Altruists,' and 'Nobody Wants This' for the November events.
The schedule runs from Friday, November 6, through Sunday, November 8, and again from Friday, November 13, through Sunday, November 15. Each date features a specific title with a corresponding panel. For example, the first weekend opens with a screening of 'Nobody Wants This' Season 3 on November 6. This is followed by an advance preview of 'The Altruists' on November 7 and a screening of 'The Diplomat' Season 4 on November 8.
Panels will feature showrunners, writers, and lead actors. Kristen Bell will participate in the 'Nobody Wants This' discussion, while Julia Garner is set to speak about 'The Altruists.' Keri Russell will attend the 'The Diplomat' event, and Melissa McCarthy will join the Q&A for 'The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey.' The second weekend features Florence Pugh for 'East of Eden,' Charlie Hunnam for 'Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story,' and Charles Melton for 'Beef.'
The 'Altruists' event on November 7 will include an advance preview of the limited series. The story focuses on Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison. Graham Moore, the creator and showrunner, will lead the panel alongside Julia Garner, who plays the role of Caroline Ellison and serves as an executive producer.
On November 8, Netflix will screen 'The Diplomat' Season 4. Debora Cahn, the series creator, will moderate the panel with Keri Russell, who plays Ambassador Kate Wyler. Rufus Sewell, Ato Essandoh, Ali Ahn, and Nana Mensah will also participate in the discussion. The same day includes an advanced screening of 'The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey.' Melissa McCarthy, who plays Patsy Ramsey, will lead the subsequent Q&A.
The second weekend begins on November 13 with a screening of 'East of Eden.' Zoe Kazan and Jeb Stuart, the co-showrunners, will join the panel with Florence Pugh and Christopher Abbott. Laura Karpman, the composer, will also be present. The following day, on November 14, the streamer will screen 'Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story.' Ian Brennan, the co-creator, will speak with Charlie Hunnam and Vicky Krieps.
The final weekend concludes on November 15. Netflix will show a sneak peek of the sixth and final season of 'Emily in Paris.' The event will also include a screening of the anthology series 'Beef.' Lee Sung Jin, the creator and director, will lead the panel with Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny. The cinematographer, James Laxton, and editor Laura Zempel will also attend the discussion.
