Macomb County libraries are scheduling a dense calendar of community programs for early November. The offerings span a wide demographic, targeting infants, teens, and adults with sessions on literacy, crafts, and financial planning. The events are distributed across ten different branches in the region.

Harrison Township Public Library is running a toy drive for Macho Clause, a nonprofit serving children in the metro Detroit area, from November 9 through December 11. The drive accepts only new toys dropped off at the front desk. The library also hosts a Tech Time session on November 17 at 6:30 p.m. to help attendees identify cyber scams conducted via phone, text, or fraudulent websites. Registration for that specific workshop is preferred but not mandatory.

Roseville Public Library is hosting a career session for teens on November 16 at 6 p.m. The event, titled So, You Want to Be An Automotive Technician, features Trent Woznak. Woznak works as an auto tech at Stellantis and teaches in the Automotive Technology program at Macomb Community College. He will discuss the path to the job and the daily realities of the role for participants ages 13 to 18. The library also holds a puzzle tournament on November 21 in partnership with the Recreation Authority of Roseville and Eastpointe.

St. Clair Shores Public Library has expanded its youth services using grant funding. The department created 14 explorer packs for children and families to check out. Each pack contains nonfiction books, activity sheets, identification guides, and learning tools centered on outdoor activities like bird watching and astronomy. Patrons can request these packs at the Youth Services Desk. The library is located at 22500 E. 11 Mile Road.

Several branches are continuing regular recurring programs. Center Line Public Library holds baby and toddler playgroups at 11 a.m. Tuesdays and storytimes on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Fraser Public Library offers Kid Craft Club on November 10 at 6 p.m., where each craft is paired with a storytime book. Mount Clemens Public Library lists weekly Zumba workout classes for November 9, 16, 23, and 30, as well as resume reviews available by appointment for those who cannot attend Monday sessions.

Clinton-Macomb Public Library continues to offer online book discussion groups and trivia nights each month. Registration for these virtual events is available through the library's website. The main branch in Clinton Township, along with the North Branch in Macomb Township and the South Branch in Clinton Township, remain open to the public. Eastpointe Public Library is also open for curbside service and phone reference during regular hours, with a book sale scheduled for November 20 and 21.

Residents in Harrison Township can request home delivery for library materials. Once an item is ready for pickup, patrons contact the library at 586-329-1261 to set up a delivery time. The library is located at 38255 L'Anse Creuse Street. Sterling Heights Public Library has adjusted its open lab hours for the Maker's Space, offering appointment times on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Library cardholders can reserve a time by looking for Maker Space Lab on the program calendar.
