BetMGM is offering new customers a bonus package of up to $1,500 in bonus bets for wagers placed on Saturday’s college football schedule.
The promotion uses the code CBSSPORTS. If a new user’s first wager loses, the sportsbook will provide up to $1,500 in bonus bets. If the first wager wins, the user receives $150 in bonus bets. The specific value of the offer depends on the bettor’s location.
The promotion applies to major games scheduled for Saturday, including a matchup between Miami and North Carolina as well as a game between Oklahoma State and Iowa State.
SportsLine, which partners with BetMGM for its projection models, recommends these two games for betting purposes. The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS game 10,000 times. The model has a 68-59 record on its top-rated college football picks through Week 9. This record returned nearly $400 for players who wagered $100 each.
For the Miami versus North Carolina game, the model projects Miami to cover the spread in 58% of simulations. Miami enters the game with a 7-0 record. The Hurricanes have covered the spread in five of their seven victories. Their offense ranks first in the nation, averaging 44.3 points per game. Miami has won five of its games by at least 28 points.
Two Miami players appear near the top of Heisman Trophy betting odds. Quarterback Darian Mensah has 2,151 passing yards and 21 touchdowns. Wide receiver Malachi Toney has 952 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. North Carolina is 4-3 overall in the second year of Bill Belichick’s tenure as head coach. The Tar Heels are 1-2 against the spread at home this season.
Micah Roberts, a SportsLine expert, selected Oklahoma State as his best bet against Iowa State. Oklahoma State is favored by 9.5 points. Roberts noted that coach Eric Morris, who joined the program from North Texas, has installed a fast-paced offense. The Cowboys lead the Big 12 Conference in scoring, averaging 40 points per game. Quarterback Drew Mestemaker has drawn attention from NFL scouts. Oklahoma State has covered the spread in six consecutive games and has won five of those contests.
Iowa State is 3-4 on the season. The Cyclones lost head coach Matt Campbell to Penn State in the offseason. They also lost quarterback Rocco Becht, who followed Campbell. Roberts stated he is on the side of Oklahoma State for the contest.
Bettors can combine the two recommended picks into a single wager at BetMGM Sportsbook. The combined odds are listed as +284. This means a $100 risk would yield a $284 profit, subject to changing odds.
BetMGM provides tools for responsible gaming, including a live chat feature, gaming limits, and timeout options. The sportsbook also shares contact information for helplines such as 1-800-MY-RESET, which bettors can call or text at any time.
